Charcoal powder

Charcoal powder is traditionally used for the censing of worship on Mount Athos.
It is finely ground charcoal from vine branches, prepared in a traditional way.
It is ideal for burning incense because it generates a gentle temperature, and the incense burns without the release of excessive smoke.

Usage: Place ½ teaspoon of charcoal powder in the extinguished ash of the censer, and lightly press around with the teaspoon (to preserve it for a longer time). Light two grains, and in 2 minutes, it is ready for censing.
It remains effective for 10-15 minutes.
