This extra virgin olive oil is produced from the centuries-old olive grove of the Holy Monastery. The olives are carefully harvested by the Monks and workers, and the oil is produced through the cold-pressing process at an olive mill within Mount Athos.
It is known for its high quality, fruity aromas, unique flavor, and low acidity, as its free fatty acid content does not exceed 0.8 g per 100 g of olive oil (acidity: 0 – 0.8%).
Since the earliest recorded time in history, man has mentioned the olive tree, its fruits and their products. Olive oil is a type of food that satisfies many human needs, while its dietary and therapeutic benefits have been proven experimentally and practically.
• It is the only plant oil that can be consumed raw, like unaltered and intact fruit juice.
• Because it is perfectly assimilated, it is the oil that nourishes children and helps them develop without making them gain weight.
• Furthermore, its rich oleic acid content makes it an exceptional energy source, while its role in reducing cholesterol in the blood, as well as its role as a cholagogue (that is, it aids in bile production) and a mild laxative make it an exceptional regulator of the human body functions.
• In addition, it has a known regulatory effect on cardiac function, as it acts as a solvent of the atheromas that cause heart attacks.
• It protects the liver from fatty degeneration, while it also functions as a preservative of vision.

Should be stored in a cool and shady place. Olive oil becomes cloudy at low temperatures, but returns to its normal state at room temperature. Its quality is not affected.
